Saving homeless pets across Tennessee and Georgia,

one bully smile at a time.

BULLY SMILES INC.

Bully Smiles Inc.'s leader, Laura, has over 15 years of experience in animal resuce. After taking some time off to start and raise her family, she began to notice the dire need for more rescues.  So she jumped back into the rescue world, though on a much smaller scale, and without attachment to any group.

There are an uncountable number of stary and unwanted animals all across Georgia and Tennessee: thousands of happy and healthy animals are put down every year right in our own area.  As a former animal control officer, Laura has seen both sides of the rescue world, and knew she had to do more to help!  There are too many animals and not near enough rescues.

Bully Smiles takes in owner surrenders who would otherwise be given away or taken to a shelter.  In addition, we pull animals from high kill shelters in our area to give them a fighting chance.  We then take our rescues to the vet where they recieve necessary, current medical care. After, they are placed up for adoption, where they will never face homelessness or living in a kill shelter again.

Bully Smiles is a start in the right direction, though we cannot achieve our goal alone.  We need adopters, donors, and fosters to make our goal a sucess!  There is more we can do together to save lives!

Articles

It can take some time for your new four-legged friend to adjust to their new home.  Preparation and patience are key during the adjustment period.

The Adjustment Period

Regardless of where your dog comes from, there is a good chance they may experience seperation anxiety as they adjust to their new home.  Here's what you can do to help reduce your dog's separation anxiety if they get upset when you leave.

Seperation Anxiety

Bringing a new dog into the family is an exciting time for the human “pack” members, but can create stress for the non-human pack—whether dog (both new dog and resident dog), cat, bird, or other small pet. Understanding how to manage pet introductions can help ensure a lifetime of harmony for everyone.

Testimonials

"They were so wonderful to work with. We had been looking several weeks for a new baby to add to our home. We knew we wanted to rescue, but had not had the best experiences in the past trying to apply. We saw a picture of the former Nola, now willow, and everyone agreed she was the one. I reached out, applied, and we were able and to meet and foster her until her spay. Instead of being anxious during the process, the communication kept us at ease and made for a smooth transition for everyone. 100% recommend working with them!"

״We cannot say enough wonderful things about Laura and Bully Smiles! We adopted our dog, Peaches, from Laura just over a year ago and will certainly adopt from her again in the future! Laura took Peaches in when no other rescue wanted her. After suffering years of neglect, Peaches was nursing physical and emotional wounds. But Laura kept her safe for months while she healed and learned to live again. Laura truly saved Peaches life, and we are so lucky we found her! She thoroughly vets every applicant and does everything in her power to ensure she matches the dogs in her rescue with the best family and home possible.״

״Highly recommend Bully Smiles!!! We drove from Clarksville, Tennessee to rescue a puppy in November of last year and returned in January to rescue another. Laura is wonderful and we will definitely rescue from her again in the future. I am happy to speak to anyone who wants to talk to a happy rescue family."
